I'm guessing that Thursday-Sunday is probably the prime time to see plays, but are there any options for live theater Monday-Wednesday? I'm trying to poke around some myself on the google-machine, but I figure anybody with more of a background in this particularly scene may be able to point me to something obvious I would miss.

Mondays are usually dark, but occasionally some companies will host a free play reading, such as tonight's reading of A Bloody Deed... at BalletMet.
CATCo often has performances on Wednesdays at 11 am.
The Theatre Vault maintains a pretty great calendar of local shows. It's worth bookmarking.

shadowbox. We went for the first time about 2 weeks ago and had a lot of fun. it isn't plays, but live theatre.
