Zach Henkel is a genius. His mapping skills are superb.
But just as soon as i realized I was moving skreened to downtown clintonville, and decided to pick up on his nomenclature for the area south of North Broadway and north of Weber Rd. along high, Teamtim encouraged me to change it.
What's a great name for the area?

Someone posted that they want an uptown neighborhood in Columbus. Well
Noun 1. uptown uptown - a residential part of town away from the central commercial district.
Seems to fit Clintonville fairly well. Or since we are so found of districts here is Columbus, it could be the Ravine District. Maybe Antique Alley. Cruncher Village. These are pretty bad ideas. Just trying to get the ball rolling.

If Washington Beach were a foosball player, he would dominate the tour unmercifully with a display of brutal offensive violations. He would spank his competition with geometrically calculated moves like the "Jahlalabad" (which involves banking the ball off your opponent's dome) and the crowd-pleasing closer the "Sodomizer".

Manufactured in that most of these fake place names sound like sound like they were thought up by junior marketing majors and thrust upon us rather than organically growing out of the history and people of a place. To my ears it smacks of "trying too hard".
If you really, really, really have to call it something call it "Old Clintonville" since south of North Broadway is the original development.

It sounds like your problem is more with time than anything else, right? I'm sure some people didn't like "Short North" or "German Village" when those names were first mentioned in the not-too-distant past, but now people accept them as the norm.

There's tons of examples, but my three favorites of fake named Columbus neighborhoods are:
Misty Meadows (no mist nor meadow)
Southern Orchards (not really south and certainly no orchards)
Laurel Canyon (has neither laurel or canyon.
The names of the Short, CVille & GV emerged organically and that's what made them seem real.
