“Let My People Go: Shifting Behavior Toward Sustainable Transportation Options”

    Friday, May 4, 10am-11:30am

Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, 111 Liberty St., #100, Columbus

Free and open to the public

Transportation options in central Ohio vary depending on where we live, work and play. Attitudes and behaviors also influence how we get around and keep us from taking advantage of the options right in front of us. How can we free ourselves from high gas prices and lonely commutes? How can we shift our attitudes and behaviors in favor of sustainable choices? And what are the available options for getting around? Our speakers will address these questions and more, so join us for lively discussion!

    Speakers:

-Dr. Joe Heimlich, School of Environment and Natural Resources at The Ohio State University

    -Lynn Robinson, MORPC RideSolutions

    -Scott Varner, Transit Columbus

For more information contact Shari Saunders at 614-233-4125.

Any ideas as to where this talk is going to lead? No offense but could you tell us about whatever tangible things MORPC has done in our communities?

We’ve heard about various projects MORPC has announced, but maybe some of us are not sure about what, if anything, comes of it. Some of us look forward to learning about and spreading the word about all the wonderful things you folk are doing, plus maybe offering practical or other support. Thanks
