I'll say it again, all right? You told Brandt. He told me. I know what happened. Yes? Yes?

Donny was a good bowler, and a good man. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and bowling, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Donny. Donny, who loved bowling. And so, Theodore Donald Karabotsos, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well. Good night, sweet prince.

This has got to be the Number One Dude Movie of All Time. Not that the ladies can't enjoy. Just, you know, it is. Or is that Scarface?
No, it's got to be this.

Definitely making it to one of these. I didn't catch it on the big screen, and hey there's beer too. I guess Clintonville isn't too bad.

If bowling is up your alley, screenings await at Studio 35Thursday, January 17, 2008
BY BY FRANK GABRENYA
The grand sport of bowling never looked so romantic or so grotesque as in the 1998 Joel and Ethan Coen comedy The Big Lebowski .
Jeff Bridges stars as the title slug who prefers to be called Dude. Mistaken for another, much-wealthier man with the same name, Dude undergoes a series of painful encounters and humiliations in his pursuit of a hassle-free existence. John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Steve Buscemi co-star.
Studio 35 will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the movie, which has become something of a cult favorite among fans (mostly male) who gather to recite huge chunks of dialogue along with the characters.
The theater will screen the film at 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday with the added novelty of bowling in the theater aisles. Foam-rubber balls will be rolled at empty beer bottles doubling as pins. (No need to rent shoes.)
A screening at 5 p.m Sunday will be preceded at 4 by a beer-tasting -- and, possibly, more aisle bowling.
