What's going on out there today? ;)
Relaxing at home after swinging a pick to dig out honeysuckle stumps yesterday.
Working on comics and trying to get a mini-comic ready for printing.
So, basically, I'm working on Labor Day, but it's the kind work I enjoy.
And I can listen to podcasts, which always helps.
Also plan on heading down to Lost Weekend Records to check out their event and get some Foodie Cart crepes in a bit.
And totally not getting distracted by the internet and Warcraft
P. is stuck working today if he wants to get paid (gotta love the life of a W-2 contracting hourly wage slave!), so I'm taking advantage of the peace and quiet to catch up on blogging, which has been sadly neglected over the last year when I was in school.
So it's back to blogging full time - at the moment, I'm trying to write my post on BaconCamp, so I can get it uploaded while it's still timely.
Since P. is up at Polaris for work anyway, I'm going to have him hit the Hills Market on his way home for a pulled pork sandwich from their Hog Roast.
And much later, when he's done working for the day (they are nice enough to let him work the second half of the day from home), we're going to throw a couple of prime rib burgers on the grill for dinner.
Boring, yes. But relaxing enough, under the circumstances.
Cleaning house, watching STAR WARS saga on TV.
We've been relaxing at home after a bit of a long weekend. Doing a little BBQ with some friends, but otherwise trying not to do too much work today. ;)
I flew to Huston and back this morning. Now I'm going to ride my bike over to the Greek Festival for a gyro and galaktoboureko.
Pretending I'm rich and I never have to go back to work again.
Working ... in Newport Kentucky. :(
Thafamily went to the zoo and we tried to wear out our $8.00 wristbands, but they are sturdy little buggers (wristbands, but the family is pretty sturdy, too) Made a pot of wedding soup with bison meatballs cause the 2 blondes are sniffling like coke addicts and thaMissus said it sounded good.
For Labor Day 2010, I went to the World Expo with my fam. :o)
We visited most of the Axis of Evil pavillions and was most impressed with the UK, New Zealand, and Denmark pavillions. The US pavillion was underwhelming and basically a giant advert for the corporate sponsors. Yay extended vacation!
Just got back from my yearly extended family gathering in Philly. To be honest, I'm so thrilled to be back here! We missed too much fun stuff this weekend.
Working, mostly. But at least I got to work at home instead of going in to the office.
Worked on the cars and then went to the Greek Festival. Got in on the last batch of the Loukoumades! Best little donut holes I've ever had.
Volunteering at the station (yes, even on holidays).
Backtracking from there...
Sunday, I went to my uncle's for a barbecue, where my cousins came in from out of town.
Saturday, the Trolley Barn meeting, Michigan game, and Gallery Hop
I worked 14 hours yesterday. It was my first week as a commissioned salesperson. All in all, went pretty well. I'm ranked first in our national sales contest and it's looking like I'm going to win a cruise. Yay!
Met with realtors, contacted mortgage loan officer, washed the house.
Saturday-set up and helped run Pedal Instead at Bike the C-Bus
Sunday-picnic in Rising Park, Lancaster with my girlfriend and a nice hike up the hill side to look out over Lancaster and see a faint speck of Columbus; made cabbage rolls that night with her and her mom
Monday-dinner with the girl and my folks
