I love the women of Knitta Please, a warm fuzzy yarn bomb crew that (sometimes in approved installations and other times, non-approved) leaves knitted cozies on parking meters and other public hardware.
They harm nothing and their work is fantastic.

I actually knitted the trunk piece of the one Mae posted. It was a demo for the Ohio Designer Craftsmen's Winterfair about 5 years ago. I think it got auctioned off for charity at a VW event some time after.
