I haven't seen that many episodes of the original one, but this one seems right in line, cheese-wise. I've got about another hour to go, but it's not that bad. The guy driving is kinda hot so I'll keep watching just to see if he like takes his shirt off or something :)

Yea, it was pretty freaking awful. I suffered through the whole thing. I can't decide if I'm just too old to watch this anymore, or if television has just gotten lamer.
Can't wait for next week!
And the Hasslehoff cameo was brilliant.
"I'm your father."
"I know"
I know there's a writers strike and all that... but really my 11 year old nephew could have done better than that scintilating dialog.

I saw it the other night (late with my report and I am -so- sorry). From what I recall about the original series, it's spot on (especially -w- the cliffhanger before commercial cut-aways).
That's not necessarily a compliment.
I like that they didn't try to start over, that it's X years down the line. Aside from that, the folks watching with me and myself all agree that it seemed like a Ford commercial. I found the plotline completely predictable, and the writing, yeah, what writing. Acting could use some help also (BTW, they spent all night driving -w- one pee break and he didn't shake or put away his business at the end... I know it's tv but come on!) and there's no tired butt syndrome and everyone still looks like they just got dressed for an evening out... I guess I expect too much.
BTW that commercial series made me want to never watch tv ever again. Unless KITT is having relations -w- the Ford Focus or whatever-the-crap-car that was at the end then I didn't need to watch that!
could get better, but I have low expectations.

It wasn't bad... but it wasn't good either!
Ford just doesn't cut it for me. Not to mention in the chase scene it shows how a Mustang Cobra hardly performs better than a Ford Minivan!
Marketing must have missed that subliminal message....
