we just had kittens this week. They are all gray, some are stripedy, and i think they are mostly boys, but it's kind of hard to tell at this point. Here's a picture, but you can also follow them in my tiny blog (http://www.frumpyfoodie.com/tiny_blog).

Obviously I'm not trying to steer you away from lisa's free kittens, but since I'm a supporter of the Humane Society, I feel morally obligated to put a good word in for shelter kittens. Almost all will have been vaccinated and spayed and most beyond a certain age (very young) will already be house-trained. The adoption fee generally only partially offsets the cost of all that.
Just sayin'.
OK. Carry on.
(No offense to lisa or her adorable kittens.)

I adopted a kitten from Pets Without Parents last summer and would recommend them. They are off of Indianola in Clintonville.

There's a vet on Whittier, next to the pet store, near the Coney Island. There are always kitties in the window. He seems to be the deposit of choice for people who find dumped kitties in the area.
I wouldn't use him as a vet, but we adopted two kittens there. I'd also vouch for getting two: the entertain each other (somewhat) sparing your furniture.

+1
Here's the Capital Area Humane Society (located in Hilliard): http://www.cahs-pets.org
They have pictures of available cats, but they usually don't bother posting the kittens since they get adopted so fast.
All of my childhood cats came from friends and neighbors, so I have nothing against Lisa's kittens, but they will probably not be weaned for a few weeks, so if you're looking for something sooner and less work (e.g. fewer trips to the vet) a shelter is a great option!

What is the name of the place over near Morse and 71? They have cats galore. If I can ever get rid of the birds I might consider getting one there.

It's called Cat Welfare: http://www.catwelfareohio.com/
I thought about mentioning them. I've never been there, but I've heard good things. Though, a friend said can be overwhelming trying to find a cat because they have so many. I also wasn't sure if they've got a lot of kittens, whereas I know CAHS has half a dozen at any given time.

I got a cat from Cat Wefare, he is the G.O.A.T. of cats.

Is "kitten" just another term, like "chicken" or "otter"

HAHA I first read that as "Cat Warfare"--I was thinking, "wow, that must be a rough neighborhood!"

I just got this in an e-mail from the Capital Area Humane Society. It applies to adult cats, but that includes 6 mo. or over. You might be able to have a "meeting" between your cat and a new one. I'm not sure, but usually CAHS is super accommodating for things like that. Just FYI! :D
Spring Cat Adoption Special!
Kitten season is upon us, so we will have a special to help get our adult cats into new homes. From Friday, April 25th through Sunday, May 4th the first 10 adult cats (6 months or over) adopted each day will be available for a $10 adoption fee. The marketing for this special will be 10 days, 10 cats, $10...but we will certainly honor the $10 fee for all adult cats adopted during this period!

I've never heard of "otter". Is that something they teach you in the Siera Club.
