They haven't painted the permanent lines yet so we don't know if they didn't do it or not.

I don't remember, but did they do any sidewalk work (ADA ramps, etc) as part of this project?

They recently added ADA ramps and curb cuts, but that is not necessarily part of this repaving as it has been going on for awhile.Well they usually do ADA ramps prior to repaving just to keep things organized and to have a clean install. Still, if you call 311 and ask for a ramp where there isn't one, they will come out and do it.

I haven't been down King in a while. Any updates on if the bike lanes are painted and if the project looks completed? What is it like?

Still temporary street lines (no bike lanes).

Happy to see ADA ramps added to Third and Fifth at the bike path. The big rut in the path just south of the Drake Union was patched on Wednesday. My commute just became less airborne.

The ditch held a pipe that discharged water pumped from the excavations to the river. They haven't needed that rut in a good long time. I'm glad they finally smoothed it over. (just in time to wreck that section for the dam removal- Ha!)

On the way to Spring Flea, my 11 year old son was awestruck when his 49 year old dad jumped that rut. Might be the last time I ever impress him (until he's old enough to appreciate a pint).

They're still doing utility work on King and probably don't want to paint the lines until they're done tearing up the pavement.

Lines are starting to go down today.

They have dotted them in near Grandview Ave, though King is getting seriously congested close to the river now that 3rd Ave is out of commission and OSU is back.

Yeah, I didn't think the spray-can lines were going to stick around as long as they have.

My question might already be answered on another thread/page, but how long will 3rd be closed?

FYI the final lines are now down.

Just started taking King this week and it is a joy. It's worth backtracking to Fifth to get on the bike path. I think I only got honked at once in 3 round trips to Grandview Ave.
