So it seems that the Discovery Store at easton is gone, and I'm too late to order stuff online. Anyone know of a botique-ish kids store that sells learning toys, musical toys, cool wood blocks and stuff that's not made from poison? thanks.

My best guess would be Larson's

I think Larson's at the Shops on Lane Ave. mall in UA might fit the bill for you.
Pity about the Discovery Channel store. That was always a good place for completely unnecessary but kind of fun gifts.

There were some very cool wooden toys at World Market. Made me wish I had or knew a kid.

I'll second...er, uh... third Larson's Toys in The Shops on Lane Avenue. They might have some of the things you're looking for.
There's also a great local person who makes and sells wooden toys, but they're mostly for younger kids, and as you said, it doesn't look like you'd be able to get them ordered online in time for Christmas:

The Discovery Store no longer operates local retail stores. You can continue to shop our wide variety of products via our online store and catalog.

You could take a look at this store, but it might be more for babies.
It's in Clintonville.

It's not just Easton - Discovery closed all of their stores Nationwide and went solely to web sales.

Larson's will also wrap it for free, and they do a really good job! They'll cover the gift with stickers & bows and whatnot.

The Columbus Museum of Art and the Wexner both have neat kid stuff in their gift/bookstores.
