This is an interesting choice by Mr. Kasich.
In a move signaling the direction Gov. Kasich hopes to take education in Ohio, a cabinet position has been created for Robert Sommers, the CEO of a charter school in Detroit and of an educational consulting firm called Cogniac Consultants. Sommers will now serve as director of the Governor’s Office of 21st Century Education.Sommers previously worked for nearly a decade as the CEO of a technical school, and for 15 years at the Ohio Department of Education as an associate director.
Launched in August 2010, TheMetropreneur.com is a local online resource devoted to small business development and entrepreneurship. Its aim is to tell the stories of Central Ohio's business community, foster regional economic development and assist entrepreneurs with its resource-heavy focus.
