The Columbus Coalition for Responsive Government will be circulating petitions at tomorrow's Holiday Hop, in the Short North. Look for us in Santa hats, and come share some music, a warm fire, and hot spiced cider in front of the Greystone Court Apartments, at 815 N. High Street.
Learn about our citizens' ballot initiative to make City Council more responsive to neighborhood concerns, and sign a petition to help us put it on the ballot for a vote.
We seek to have an 11 member council, with 4 members elected at large, and 7 members elected by the voters of the Districts in which they reside. This is true citizen empowerment, as we ask for a voice in our own affairs, and seek to add greater transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness of our City Government. Help us usher in a new bicentenniel, with the modern form of District representation in place in 47 of the 50 largest American cities.
If you can't make it, visit us on the web at http://www.ColumbusCoalition.info, and see our schedule of informational sessions planned for December and January at branch libraries across the city.
