Anyone else hear what I assume to be a military jet giving the city a buzz cut? Is there any event that it might have been related to?

They flew overhead while I was on 23, just entering Delaware. I was riding a relatively loud motorcycle with a helmet on, and they STILL were loud as hell & startled the crap out of me. Then I about crashed trying to watch them for as long as possible. Fighter jets are cool.
