Met the new guy a couple of days ago at Staufs. He seems super amped up about leading the company. Congratulations.

This news jolted me a bit until I read the full article. If Jeni is going to be able to focus solely on creating new concoctions while keeping the business side local, this can only be good news!

Came home from gym, read this article, and can now only think about grapefruit & pistachio.
Sounds like a wise move. Spending time making phone calls and emailing all day can definitely hamper one's spirit to do much else.

Rare to see a founder, owner, president, and CEO of a successful business step down like this, but given what Jeni actually wants to do with her career and her life, it makes sense. (In fact, I find myself wondering why it doesn't happen more often, though there's obviously one glaringly obvious reason that goes along with politics and religion among unmentionable topics in polite society.)
Now I just need to lobby a rookie CEO about the benefits of opening an Akron branch ... :-)
