I would like to.
CU Video Game Party Meetup at your place? :D
If you want to organize it I would be happy to host something when the weather stays nice! I have a friend that has the Arcade sized controllers for Beatmania and Pop-n- music. I also have a Japanese PS2 just to play those games.
Could be fun. Will have to brainstorm a bit on how best to make it work. :D

That's pretty hardcore. Did you need to buy a special electric transformer, or can you just swap out the power brick?
I haven't played DDR for years, but I love it. Used to be able to do 7-foots and some 8-foot solos, and 5/6-foot single-doubles. I'm sure that's much lower now.
Never lived close enough to an arcade (or was willing to pay $1.50 per game) to get an appetite for the other major Bemani franchises. Any thoughts on what the best one is?
Well Gameworks in Easton has some Machines and some of my friends even Drive for Road Trips to Michigan and Bowling Green to use some of the machines up there. Keep in mind some of my friends also competed nationally for DDR and Beatmania.
I'm a huge fan of Pop-n-music which is why I invested to get a Japanese PS2. It's actually the same power cord on the US with no converter needed. You just want to watch that you don't play more then 4-5 hours a time for the overheat.
As for the best one it really depends what you want. Like Guitar Freaks is by Bemani and so is Drum mania and they came out years before Guitar. There is also a Piano version. Then you have Beatmania which is like a dj board. Para Para is a full body dancing game where your hand movements are the focus through a special sensor ring. DDR is the full dance one with the feet movements as the focus. Pop-n-music is that one you see a guy playing at the arcade in "Lost in translation" when Scarlett's Character is walking around. It has Round colorful buttons that you just push with the color sequence and is just techno fun songs. Some of the same songs are played throughout all systems even.
You Can find tons of you Tube Videos just by searching Bemani!
