Jackie O's gets jumpstart on new brewing facility through Athens Start It Up contest

Jackie O’s Pub and Brewery has secured a $10,000 business grant after winning a video competition held by the Athens County Economic Development Council. According to the brewery’s owner, those funds will help jumpstart operations at the business’ new brewing facility on Stimson Avenue.
Through the EDC’s website, businessremixed.com, a business grant and storytelling competition was held called Start It Up Athens! The contest sought YouTube submissions from entrepreneurs looking to either start a business in Athens County or expand an existing one.
