We stopped at Banana Bean at 10am today. There were white 8"x11" signs taped to the door stating something along the lines of "This building is locked and closed. Please contact the property owner to gain entry."
RIP? I knew the new location was not the same but regret if they shut down.

If this is the case, I would recommend some local restaurant add lobster hash and bloody mary with a strip of bacon to their menu ASAP...I loved that.

I also noticed that the signage in the Coyote Janes windows has been taken down.
I think Banana Bean could probably wheel in their 2 Open signs they still have sitting out, you know, if they are not going to be open...

NOW Coyote Janes FB page says B Bean is closed so come in for brunch tomorrow at CJ's! What happened to Explorers Club? A little confusing.

Apparently Robin has closed Banana Bean Cafe, but moved the Coyote Jane's concept into its space at 340 Greenlawn Ave. The old CJ space on South High has been sold to a different owner and will become Explorer's Club.
Kinda sad to see Banana Bean go. Loved a lot of their menu. Really miss their vibe in the original location on Whittier (although I love Skillet being there).

I got a message from Robin Emrick of BBC/CJ. She said the restaurant (at the Greenlawn location) will be called Coyote Jane's, but she's keeping much of the Banana Bean menu. She's just incorporating some of the CJ favorites, too.
