few days late posting but some of the new features sound cool. The video is a bit long but well worth it if you're an iphone user.
you can get in the beta easy enough also if you want.

Gizmodo says the beta is not ready for everyday use.

ya, apple seems to be really shit at betas IMO.
In all honesty, the new features sound like features that most smartphones already have.
do other phones have "app store" like things now? This is an honest question, I don't know.
I know Blackberry has one coming, but not quite here yet.
Android has one I believe.
I think Apple was the first with an app store for it's phone. All other companies are now coming up with app stores for their brand. Although you could always get apps for phones, just not all in one centralized place.
I'm looking forward to 3.0, even though I won't get the MMS or the stereo bluetooth due to me having the 1g iPhone.
Rumor has it they'll be announcing another new iPhone in June.

Agreed. The lack of MMS has been mindboggling since the beginning. Non smartphone cells have had it for YEARS - why is Apple just getting around to it?
Still, the new features combined with the existing iPhone & apps = mega WIN. Definitely looking forward to it.
Blackberry App store went live last night.
"cut copy and paste" - i'm sold!
