You know, I was extremely pleasantly surprised by both the latest Rocky and latest Die Hard, so I have high hopes for this.
The latest Rambo, however, will suck on levels only dreamed about previously.

I think the new Rambo will be good. It's violent, bloody and gory... just like how a Rambo movie should be. Maybe you saw the toned down trailer for it.
I actually just watched the latest Die Hard last night and liked it a lot as well. But I can't say the same for Rocky Balboa though.

Oh no, I saw the head explosions trailer for it. I thought Rocky Balboa returned to a lot of the things that made Rocky 1 the first triple crown winner since Citizen Kane at the Oscars though. First Blood, btw, was actually a good movie...it was the remaining Rambos (just like Rocky 3-5) that just sucked a lot.

Yeah, the first Rambo is a classic just like all first movies in a series.
I mean some parts of Rocky Balboa were good like the parts that take you back to Rocky 1, but I wasn't moved enough like the first one. Him coming back and fighting just didn't do anything for me.

I agree. I was disappointed when I saw it after hearing good things.
I thought they really went out of their way to make it a believable fight using the injury personally. And after the Foreman style comebacks of the last decade, not unheard of.
p.s. if I look as good as Harrison Ford at 65 years old, I'm totally willing to sacrifice virgins or whatever the deal is.

LOL...hey, maybe I should have qualified it by saying my expectations of another Die Hard were piss poor...and that screenplay and believability factors didn't even come into play.
Now, when you do those things...that movie rocked ;)

Don't get me wrong it wasn't GREAT, but like others have said, better than I would've thought and decent for a sequel. It's a typical Hollywood action flick so I expect the action to be a little over the top. I have no problems with it 8)

You know I found the part where he ramped his car into the helicopter to ring especially true with me. I can't tell you how many times that happens to me in my commute.

I had not been paying much attention to this, but the moment I saw the poster today I got the biggest grin on my face. ("INDY!!!! Squeeee!") And judging by the crystal skull, looks like we're going to be exploring the Amazon* with the ol' whip-slinger. I. Can't. Wait!
