When I went to college in Chicago there was an independently owned video rental store near campus that had a great selection of both artsy and non-artsy movies, something that is lacking in chain rental stores like Blockbuster. It was run by a cool guy who obviously had a great passion for movies. I miss this store and was wondering if there is anything like it in Columbus? It seems like there should be a store like this in the Short North or OSU areas.

Perhaps North Campus Video on High St next to the Dube? (along the Video Central on Bethel Rd and in German Village).

Like others have said...Video Central w/ locations on North High Street, East Livingston Avenue, and Bethel Road for sure. Columbus used to have quite a few indie video stores but they closed years ago, which is a damn shame!
