My husband and I are currently in the house-hunting process. We rent in Grandview now (and love it) but we couldn't afford to live here for at least another 10 years (and 100% increases in both of our salaries!). We settled on Clintonville as our affordable Grandview alternative, but we haven't been able to find *the* house there just yet. Our realtor did, however, find a wonderful house in Bexley--where we weren't even originally looking.
My husband really likes the area, but I'm not 100% sold on it yet. I really prefer more young, vibrant, urban areas (we're in our late 20s) and Bexley feels much older and yuppier than Clintonville, and full of families. We're not planning on starting a family for at least another 5 years.
Other than the past week or so, I haven't ventured into Bexley very often, and don't know much about it. Can anyone that has experience living in Bexley (or just visiting there, whatever) tell me your impressions of it? Do you think it's a good fit for a young couple, or would you look elsewhere? If it helps, the house we're looking at is in South Bexley, very close to Main Street and Capital University.
