...I will pay you $20 to pick something up for me! They have these shoe cabinets that I can't find anywhere else, but they are still not worth a separate trip. I'll reimburse you for the items in cash on delivery plus the $20 delivery fee. You can tell everyone that you reduced carbon emissions if you take me up on the deal!

The Ikea shipping does seam to be a bit of a broom handle up your rear from what I've seen.

And often small items aren't available for shipping. Which is the opposite of what makes sense.

For real, we just ordered a table that was 300 dollars plus 150 to ship! They don't even allow in store pick-up for web orders.

Im going tomorrow!
Im at work so just email me if you still need the hook-up.

There should really be a community organization that works out Ikea exchanges. Their shipping is crazy, but I hate to make the drive to Cincinnati to buy a rug. Someone should start that service & charge $20 per order.

I'll do it! I've got some things I need to pick up myself, just haven't had a free weekend to do it in like 2 months! If I can manage to not be so hung over I want to die, I'd like to go Sunday.

We bought a bunch of stuff at the store that we had no way to get home, and we found there's a flat rate for shipping. Of course you have to buy some big ticket items to make it worthwhile, but for us it was.
When is Columbus going to get an IKEA? We certainly deserve one.

I doubt we'll see one for at least 5 years, if even that. No reason, we probably have more within 3 hours than anywhere else in the country - Cincy, Pittsburgh, and Detroit. Am I forgetting one?

IKEA has the opposite expansion strategy of Starbucks.
