My editor just told me that The Other Paper's infamous "You're Welcome" story won second place in "Best Public Service Journalism" from the Ohio SPJ.
I wanted to break the news here.

I like the cut of your jib.

All the other stories tied for first then ;)
Congratulations. Do you get a trophy, or a certificate to hang on the wall?
Is this the ilk story? Link, please.
Can't read the full story anymore. You'd think an award winning story would be archived longer than 16 months.
I guess it was a form of public service, now that you mention it. One with an ancient pedigree.... ;-)
In all seriousness, though, congratulations on the accomplishment, Lindsay.
So the real question is what happened to Petric, two weeks and no stories, is he back in Afghanistan or has the karmic wheel finally spun back his way?
Congrats, Teet!
In other news, Columbus Underground is much more important in the TOP newsroom than it was portrayed to be 16 months ago:

I was waiting for that :)

My editor said something about a riverboat cruise.
I feel like I should take Anne & Walker with me. Walker gets all our drink tickets.
Teet, you're sassy, and I like that in a dame. Congrats.
If the award is true then your medium is not dying, it is dead.
Were there more than 2 candidates for the award?
Congrats - you just won an award for pissing off your future employer!
"Tags -- world domination"?
Hm. Clearly the critiques of the piece haven't resulted in any ego problems.

There was bile?
Second place is the first loser.

More important than The Rise of Columbus Underground in the TOP Newsroom (we pretty much talk about it every day!) is the large hole that CU has carved into my heart.
And now, apparently, my innocent, profile-photoless husband's heart, as well.
I assume the Teter hellspawn will log on first thing out of the womb.
