Had given up hope at one point this day would ever come. Bout...Damn...TIME!!! :-)
The Original twilight movie was released in 2008, now, in 2012 the saga is finally coming to a close. Coincidence? ; - p
At first I thought that was a crane they were putting up but after getting a closer look today I saw it was a large drill. Super excited for this!

You may have already noticed that some construction has begun on the long vacant site on the northeast corner of Hubbard and High in the Short North, but today it’s officially official. The new mixed-use apartment development known as The Hubbard has broken ground and will bring an additional 68 apartment units, 17,000 square feet of retail space, a unique tenant courtyard and a 250-space public parking garage.

Does anyone know what these units will be priced at? Or any general range? I live across the street on the third floor of the Greystone and can see a bird's eye view of the construction being done. I swear I could watch a bulldozer try to break apart concrete all day... Anyway, I was thinking about moving across the street if it's in my price range!
I'd bet the pricing will be very comparable to the Flats on Vine or any other similar recent development.
Yeah I'd imagine around 1100 or so for a one bedroom and up from there. That's what new buildings around downtown seem to go for, and this one could probably charge a little extra for location.
The underground work for the parking garage is looking pretty deep in the back of the site, and support pillars are going up for the apartment building up front. Moving quick!

downish...
Looks like work has started on the parking garage. At first glance I thought it was the townhomes along Hubbard but im pretty sure its the parking deck going up.

Some bad pics of the garage going up:

I walked by this location yesterday afternoon around 5PM. It was humming with activity. Many workers on site, trucks rolling down High hauling concrete decking components to it for the garage, lots going on. This one is moving along QUICKLY!
this is so exciting ... one thing i noticed, last time i walked by this, was really how big this is going to be!!
So the garage is precast concrete? Interesting. I don't think I've seen any other garages built this way.
@jpizzow ... to me, precast concrete seems like the perfect solution for a cold weather climate like ours. What are the downsides to it? Is it as strong as normal poured concrete?
