Bear wroteshroud wrote she has had an anaphylactic reaction/needed an epipen shot, so the odds are lower, and we definitely won't be testing whether she's outgrown it on regular intervals...
Sorry to hear it! Learning quite a bit from this thread -- didn't realize that people could be so violently allergic to milk.
re the restaurant: Does Ms. Hynde's stance re carnivores bother anyone else? It's increasingly not sitting well with me. I'm assuming that the success of a vegan or vegetarian restaurant depends on the patronage of at least some people who usually eat meat, just based on the numbers. And that's fine, just as vegetarians support restaurants that serve meat -- whatever. But Ms. Hynde famously loathes carnivores, doesn't want to sleep with them, calls them terrorists... yet doesn't mind taking their money? Have I got all this right?
I just browsed the menu. Some of the offerings sound delish, but if she really feels that my meat eating makes me evil, then I'd never patronize her restaurant. Blah on that! I also am not fond of all the faux meat offerings on the menu. I guess if I am paying restaurant prices for a great vegetarian or vegan experience, I just want to see super fresh, natural type items on my plate. I can nuke a gardenburger on my own at home for a couple bucks!
The risotto on the menu sounds num-nums though!
