I am of course referring to the North Star Cafe's veggie burger. I have been knocked flat on my ass by this thing. It is AMAZING. It's better than any meat burger I've ever had. Not shitty ones either; grade A ground sirloin burgers from a charcoal grill.
How does the NSC do this? It's like some kind of scientific breakthrough or something.
(also sorry for this being old news to everybody, but I'm pretty new to the NSC.)

Glad you got a good one! The first one I had (several years ago) was mind blowing! Then I had two sub-standard ones (which really made me as "what the fuck am I eating?") & reverted back to the sweet basil burrito as my default setting.

Maybe I'm just hypertonic... or a saline-minded individual... but the entirety of Northstar needs some salt sprinkled on it. Blow it in there with a snow-makin' machine or something.

I've had several and they're pretty good. I don't know that it beats a good burger with meat. It really just comes down to the mood I'm in.
I've never had the "wtf am i eating" experience though, either.

i also have had one and found it not even edible. i had a few bites then called over the waitress and told her that it was absolutely disgusting. she then proceeded to get angry and rude with me, poking around my plate with a fork lecturing me on, "well if you have already eaten the majority of it...." :roll: i told her i had two maybe three small bites total, that i didnt appreciate her attitude and then asked for the manager.
the manager thankfully was very nice and understanding and got me a little pizza thing with chicken and tomatos. she also said she would speak with the waitress. so mixed experiences from the time i was there. oh and this was at the clintonville location btw.

Everything I've had there was fantastic, and all the waitresses are very nice (and cute). I have a hard time believing they'd mess up their most popular dish that badly.
