This is the cover story from March's Atlantic Monthly. It's by Richard Florida (whom I'm sure many of you know about) and a damn good read. Much of it isn't ground-breaking, but it's organized, explained, and argued quite well. One area I want to point out though is the last page; he makes some interesting suggestions that I hadn't heard before to deal with the housing problems.
Anyways, it's worth 15-20 minutes of your day.
