actually I love it when a thunderstorm wakes me up like that.. I watch the storm for a few minutes, then I realize it's 4am and I have at least a few more hours I can sleep.

It had just dawned on me to put the parrot in the cage last night so that she'd not end up on the floor, when lightening hit the building across the street. The poor bird about beat herself to death inside the cage flying around. At least I didn't have to chase her down. 8)

Yeah, my electric just came back on about an hour and half ago been out most of the morning. ;-( wouldn't have been so bad if there was a couple things I needed to do. I enjoy the rain, not so bad ridin in it as long as it's not the tropical down pour thingy, ;-/

I'm actually all for the tropical downpour thing. When I lived in Key West, it was awesome when we'd get these monsoon type rains. I have to say that 1" per hour for 24 hours is a lot of rain.
On the other hand I'm not a fan of freezing rain :-p
