Welcome to Cocktails, a series of cocktail classes brought to you by House Wine U. This cocktail education over six weekly installments will be led by local acclaimed mixologist, Cris Dehlavi. The class will meet every Saturday at 1pm beginning February 11th for six continuous weeks, ending on March 17th. Cocktails will first be offered to those interested in signing up for all six classes before individual classes are available, with a maximum of 12 people per class. The classes will be held at House Wine in Worthington. No refunds or exchanges allowed due to the small number attending the class.
Cris is currently the Head Bartender at M at Miranova, where she’s been shaking and stirring cocktails since 2002. One of the leading mixologists in our state, she has a stellar resume behind the stick as a BarSmarts Advanced Certified Mixologist. She’s the brand mixologist for Middle West Spirits and Ohio Secretary for the U.S. Bartenders’ Guild. On top of being invited as an apprentice to Tales of the Cocktail for the last two years, Cris has picked up numerous awards that include (614) Magazine Best Bartender (2010, 2011) and winner of the Iron Bartender Columbus (2010). This past year, one of her signature cocktails was included in Gary Regan’s Top 101 Best New Cocktails.
This course has come about due to the growing interest in the art form of cocktail making and many inquiries for Cris to lead a cocktails class. Cocktails at House Wine U. is a rare opportunity to learn cocktail making with Cris in an intimate and fun environment.
