I'd rather just go to Junior's or Cuco's.

Not really a fan. The husband's family lives in Dayton and that was my first experience and from that time on I just was never impressed. They opened one a couple blocks from my house here in Cincy and I still don't have a desire to go. They have some more options but the quality isn't there.

Business First - by Dan Eaton
Date: Tuesday, August 16, 2011
Dan EatonHot Head Burritos won’t call out its competition by name (pssst, it’s Chipotle), but the upstart chain is preparing to take a bite out of the fast-casual segment’s biggest burrito.
“We feel we have more choices than our competitors,” said Tim Tefs, who is developing the Central Ohio and Toledo markets for Hot Head with Matt Curtis.

More choices doesn't make it better than Chipotle. Good luck taking them on.

Saw a sign for one of these opening in Sunbury Plaza at 161 and Sunbury Road. I never did make it in to the Hilliard location, but I'll probably check this one out.

I did enjoy Baja Fresh and their salsa bar. I wasn't impressed with Hot Head. For a place that emphasized spice, their burrito was quite bland. Even the meats and salsa.

Hot Head is really good. Wish they'd put one closer to the city instead of having them all spewed out around 270. Maybe the Qdoba in Grandview will shut down eventually and Hot Head could move in. Never been impressed by Qdoba. HH is a nice alternative to Chipotle and, in my opinion, better.

The sauces they have ruined it for me.
I've tried it twice and both times tried a supposedly hot sauce that was insanely sweet. Even the XXX habenero is sweet. Which is disgusting. Not sure if they have a non sweetened sauce or not, but after 2 tries I probably won't try again.

Best advice is to completely skip the sauces, they are all kinda like chicken nugget sauce to me. Just stick to the salsas. I had to go about 3 times to find the right combination that I liked, and I let one guy talk me into the sauce, first bite good, second bite ok, by the 3rd bite I didn't want any sauce on it...
