Hot Head Burritos out of Dayton Ohio has announced plans to open their first Columbus location at 1509 Hilliard Rome Road. This appears to be a new outlot building between McDonalds and a new Panera Bread and 5 Guys Burgers location.
Hot Head is a "subway" style format of service, since the co-founders are owners of Subway locations in the Dayton area.

Ray the owner originally wanted to open a Chipotle franchise which you cannot do so his wife suggested they start their own concept. He said to her "do you know what you just said"? So they developed HH in their home kitchen and opened the first one in 2007, (or 2006), and now have close to 20 locations. Not bad for a plan in the kitchen.

Sometimes they put too much cilantro in the rice and ruins the taste. Chipotle is more consistant, and the employees are nicer. If you go to the Qdoba in grandview in the evening the manager seems burnt out and is rude, but he's really nice before lunch. I think it's just the few bucks I save.
I once went to Bull dog Burrito in New haven, Ct and it was gross. For some reason my burrito was leaking water?

I tried to get Mango Salsa on a taco at Qdoba. The employees and manager told me I couldn't get it because it was "for the specific item on the menu." Really, it's right there, just put a scoop on my order and charge me the $1. It was really weird.

this looks like chipotle, which looks like La bomba (est. 1987) which probably looks like something that opened even before then...
I'll try it, but I don't like going to Hilliard.
For what it's worth, I still like La bomba the best.

And the peppers option is BANANA peppers or jalepenos. Ever heard of bell peppers or fajitas? WTF?
And nothing says authentic like a side of chocolate chip cookies.
Hilliard seems about right.

I drive to Dayton twice a month to hit Hotheadz. Its awesome. Chipotle can't come close! Their spicy chicken with sweet habanero sauce is killer. I could drink the hotheadz sauce by itself. Once you try it, chipotle will be nothing but a memory....
