Excuse me while I go shoot myself.
i saw the preview and really did say out loud 'this is what's wrong with america'. I don't mean that even these stupid pageants exist, or that there are stupid parents, but that like a whole year after the initial splash, some dipshit producers decide to go dredge up a meme to make a tv show glorifying the garbage. and worse, people are going to watch this shit which means all the dipshits are going to get paid.
It's things like this that make the first 30 minutes of Bobcat Goldthwait's "God Bless America" one of the best things I've ever watched.
YUCK

This show is 90% of rural Ohio. I predict tremendous ratings success.
I will have my revenge when that mom spends the last of her advance on fudgcicles and ol' Honey Boo turns out to be Alabama Snookie x2.

The decline of Western civilization is speeding up
I'm not trying to be one of those people that brags about how they no longer have cable, because I love TV shows, but crap like this is why I got rid of cable and only stream what I want to watch.

+1
If you're paying for cable, you get TLC.
So even if you don't watch this crap, YOU'RE PAYING TO SUPPORT ITS EXISTENCE.
:(
It just adds to the background static of the new media. My guess is most have moved on.
Look at it this way. You're learning about how slice of America lives. Might be a slice of completely batshit crazy, but a slice nonetheless.
All they're really doing is televising something I saw maybe 12-13 years ago when I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have dinner in a Steak & Ale seated close to a large table of toddler pageant families. It was there I realized that Drop Dead Gorgeous was a documentary after all (and obviously nothing's changed).
Glorifying obesity and stupidity...Wow.
The Mayans were right.
I wonder if TomOver has cable? :)
I find the naming of some stations needs to be reevaluated. TLC, Bravo, MTV, A&E.
