I'm trying to picture what an internal throttle assembly is & I can't, so it's probably outside of my realm of expertise. Are you trying to remove the throttle tube from the handlebar?
You CAN find a ton of free downloadable manuals here:
http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp
the CT70 manual they have is an owners manual though, not a shop manual. but if you browse around, you might find one that has a similar assembly that has a shop manual. Sorry I can't be more help.

I saw the yahoo page. the internal throttle assy is pretty neat and really clean. I have the owners manual and the parts manual. I need to get a service manual.
I looked at the yahoo page. i think I have a handle on it now, I just worry more about breaking stuff during takedown. especially when it involves parts you can't see. although you can buy almost every single parts for these bikes now.

greatest site ever! might have to buy a Clymer manual. although the bike is really simple, but has unusual things like the way the wheels are and throttle assy and internal gas tank.

I have no useful mechanical help to offer.
However
If you need someone to just come over, drool on it, and be envious...I can do that.
:D

Sorry, drool on my bikes is strictly prohibited (makes the seats too slippery)
my problem with the ct70 is that it is offroad only. I might have to look into what I need to to do to get it liscensed and registered.

I LOVE CT70's and must possess one at some point. A lonely, abandoned CT70 (that they refused to sell to me) leaning against my neighbors house was the cause of much pining in my formative youth.
a street-legal one would be the bomb, although i'd be worried someone would steal it.

good point on the theft part, looking back I guess I did single handedly pick it up to get it in my house. And I can't believe what people are asking, but they've turned into collectors items I guess. I paid my brother $200 for it waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy back in 80s when he moved up to a 125.
I had my father bring it down last month to columbus so I could work on it over the winter. I think with a carb cleaning and new battery and spark plug it'll be back!

I'm partial to the green, gold, or orange ones I've seen.
Well I can understand that, especially since I know you have not seen my bike yet.

I would still ride it around town (I couldn't resist) but i'd probably treat it like a motorcycle and wouldn't park it unless I could lock it to some hitching post or bike rack. Of course then you risk the wrath of pissed-off cyclists.
And yeah, there's one on craigslist right now for $850. it WILL happen, & I will own one, but no way am I gonna pay over $600.

i don't post pics because I don't have any digital ones on hand and no pic hosting site that I use.(that's why I never post pics)
i do keep pics of my bikes in my wallet though(kidding, I don't carry a wallet, but that would be funny, having pics of all the bikes instead of family members in the wallet)

I have to preface this by saying I have no idea what a Honda CT70 thingy is, but I do know that the library has a database that offers small engine repair for specific models.
It's called Ebsco's Small Engine Repair reference center.....
I found the Condensed Service Data and Maintenance documents for ATC70, MODELS FROM 1974-1987...
Would that help? If so I can tell you how to get there if you have a library card....Columbus/Worthington/Southwest libraries...
