New Effort to Help Preserve Homeownership Among Multicultural Households Comes to Columbus

The Alliance for Stabilizing our Communities in conjunction with Homes on the Hill Community Development Corporation, will host a Home Rescue Fair to help Columbus, OH and surrounding multicultural communities facing foreclosure identify and procure the best housing solutions possible. These homeowners, hardest-hit by the foreclosure crisis, will benefit from:

    - One-on-one sessions with a loan specialist

    - HUD approved housing counselors and attorneys

    - Foreclosure prevention workshops

    - In-language assistance

    Background Information:

The Alliance was created by the National Urban League (NUL), the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD), in partnership with Bank of America to bring hands-on counseling services and foreclosure prevention fairs to local markets, with a goal of providing at-risk homeowners with the best housing solutions possible. The Columbus Fair is one of 40 the Alliance is hosting in 27 different communities nationwide, expecting to serve more than 11,000 households.
