Not a "new" jack, J.A.M.O.N. (1/2 of the NuJaxx duo)
has been DJing since the late ‘80’s. A true artist by nature,
J.A.M.O.N. is a versatile drummer, keyboardist, bassist, and vocalist.

JAMON. (a.k.a. J.A.M.O.N.) has been djing since 1989, with an upbringing is rooted in soul music, playing the drums ever since he was 8 years old. In 1995 he began spinning records at clubs in downtown Austin, as well as started producing hip-hop tracks with the Disgruntled Seeds, a group he formed with his brothers and a friend. While producing and spinning hip hop, JAMON cultivated a love for house music. Searching for a way to combine both genres, he found inspiration in Derrick Carters mix of house music, hip-hop, funk, soul, R&B, and gospel music. Carters mixing style opened the door for JAMON to explore new kinds of music, and he hasnt stopped creating ever since. In 1998 JAMONs initial promoter, Slow Motion Music mogul, and Austin, Texas, legend Lance Cashion walked into a house party and experienced JAMONs unique style for the first time & couldnt get off the dance floor.
JAMONs was successful with holding a two-year residency called, B.L.A.K.K. His infectious blend of thick,deep,tech,soulful,funky,jackin beats is what made this residency one of the best house-music weeklies in Texas. JAMONs played alongside such legendary DJs as Derrick Carter, Boo Williams, James Curd, JT Donaldson, Halo, Mark Grant, Neil Aline, Q-Burns Abstract Message,The Sound Republic,Dj Heather, Thomas Sahs, Eddie Spettro,Jonene, Alexander East,Jake Childs,K!nk,Jay West,Johnny Fiasco,Tommy Largo,Fred Everything,John Hawley,Antnarko,Inland Knights,Diz & Colette.
