Gotta make sure there's enough parking spots to drink and drive! ;)
Testing the quality of your bumpers is best done when tipsy. :)

winking lizard. christ. i'd almost rather have olive garden. 5th ave through there is starting to look like sawmill road lite.
on the positive news from this thread, the neil ave Giant Eagle can burn a fiery death as far as I'm concerned.
drink and drive in Grandview = lock up.
edit: well I guess it is that way everywhere.. just grandview cops seem to always be pulling somebody over.
^ True, if I take my kids there, I'm one and done. They like the actual lizard, but I haven't seen the one at Bethel rd. in a while.
winking lizard?
I guess I can look on the bright side, in that Columbus' bar & restaurant scene is so good that we grumble over a Winking Lizard opening somewhere.
Some property owners on that stretch of Grandview Ave between 5th and King already have concerns that it is beginning to look like campus - yard parties, couches in front yards, beer empties left on porches [Edit: and 2am alcohol fueled bonfires in front yard]... should be interesting to see how the property owners react to the news.

not everyone that goes to bars drink like 19 year old college students on Halloween in Athens.
but the population that does is likely going to be well represented at a Winking Lizard. Grandview is becoming the new young professionals d-bag mecca. they're still poppin' collars there. serious.
I have noticed that a lot of people at the bars around here seem a lot younger than me even if they aren't really that much younger. Maybe having a few friends with 12-year-old kids has grizzled me.
oh yeah, my grizzle is really showing in this thread. :)

I sometimes worry about the property owners. The building directly behind it (with the falling down cloth awnings) had been vacant for a little while. Written in chalk on the brick wall in giant letters by the back door is:
"Beware all who enter here. You have been warned!"
Regardless, it has a long way to go before it resembles Chittenden.
@cbus11 - I know that duplex was a mess! It seems the property was caught in an estate situation.
