whatever opens on 5th and grandview, I hope it's not a burger or sandwich joint.
Or an wood fired oven pizza shop. Though a Massey's would be a good addition, that space is a little large...

Giant Eagle is moving across from the yard, on 3rd.
Well, there's a new one opening there, but there hasn't been an official statement on whether or not the 5th Avenue store or the Neil Avenue store will close, though most are anticipating that it will be one or the other or both...

This can't be right, but one of my coworkers says it will be an Olive Garden.
I think it is too small for that.
I love their breadsticks, salad and chicken pizziolascanetti. Just like the old country!!!!
Loopnet shows that the property is still available for lease.
My sister loved this place, I never really cared for it. Too hot and bland in my opinion.

The pig has flown. The lizard is stepping in.
Winking Lizard Inc. is the latest tenant to step into a space vacated by Hoggy’s when it went into receivership this year. The Bedford Heights-based chain plans to open a Winking Lizard Bar & Grill in the former barbecue joint at 1416 W. Fifth Ave. near Grandview Heights.

That actually makes sense... good fit.
It's a good fit, but what's the parking situation like?
It has a very good selection of bottled beers, everything else is meh in an Applebee's kind of way, imho. It will do fine there. Parking will probably be a pain on the busy nights, but people will probably get creative like they do at Byrnes, Woodland's and Chipotle. There is also parking on the side streets, believe the permit section doesn't start until you get south of the church.
A top notch beer selection and ok wings is a sustainable business model. They’ll occasionally get my money.
They can definately get enough foot traffic from that neighborhood to stay busy.
