It's interesting to me that they didn't mention the yard sales - the neighborhood is all-but-shutdown with them. There are THOUSANDS of folks that come to the yard sales --- I know my street will be all-but-gridlock.
The Bean Dinner is a great event, I just wish it were a different weekend. It always conflicts with Comfest and all the other great events that happen this same weekend every year.
FYI -- Westgate Neighbors Association has done a yard sale map again. I *think* they are available at Gearhart's True Value now... am trying to find the other locations where they'll be placed (some houses, I know at the WNA table at the Dinner).

The yard sales are totally awesome. And if you're a serious yard saler, you'll be there early and still have plenty of time to grab a cheap bean dinner and then head over to Comfest for the afternoon. I've done that pretty much every year since I've lived in Westgate. Luckily, my kid never lets me sleep past 7 so I'm up and ready to find all the bargains early.
