Hello Columbus!
It’s that time of year again—leaves are falling, cider is brewing,
and the Short North is readying for the return of HighBall Halloween.
This year promises to be the most amazing edition yet.
… and we're looking for some helping hands!
We're seeking volunteers interested in joining some fun committees,
as well as volunteers to work shifts the day of the event.
This year we are taking the celebration to a dazzling new level with a
spectacular 75-foot stage, an emphasis on "GLOW," and a theme of
TRANSFORMATION. If you are a HighBall enthusiast, ready and willing
to jump into the production side HighBall, then let us know. You can
register online at http://www.highballhalloween.com! We'll be happy to get
you into the mix.
Here are some examples of volunteer opportunities on committees that are
currently underway:
- Community Outreach (distribute materials, line up group presentations,
dress in costume and visit events)
- Contest Judging (help coordinate judges for the event)
- PR and Marketing (particularly social media)
- Giant Puppets (help manage the details related to coordinating the Giant
Puppets at the event… and help build the puppets.)
-Signage (inventory past signage, create files to produce 2011 signage,
graphic design if needed, assist our logistics team with actual installations)
-Special Features - such as our UV mural or extreme face painting station
(help manage the checklists and activities to create the features)
