they will have to pull me in this season fast or I will not be watching. The final episode last year was just such crap I'm still feeling the burn a little.

Though the finale was very disappointing, the overall story & most of the execution BEFORE the finale were good enough that they've got my attention for now.
And will have a MUCH longer leash than, say, 24... which better blow my mind in an episode or two.

I didn't even watch the most recent season of 24. (Season 6, was it?) There's only so many Really Really Bad Days one guy can convincingly have. I think they may well have wrapped it up around four.
Of course, with so many good shows getting cancelled (or just coming to series finales) in the past year, I could be talked into picking it up again (or some other good show that I haven't found yet), but I've got enough to keep me busy all the same.

You definitely didn't miss anything - last season was easily the worst yet. I'd suggest NOT picking it back up this year unless you hear a lot of really good things from the suckers like me who haven't totally given it up (yet).

LOL...apparently I'm alone in liking the finale, but ok...regardless, couple of "spoilers" but not really for this season...
1. Apparently Parkman's family will have a huge amount to do with the history of the Heroes...thought that was an interesting twist, as it's been all the OTHER families so far.
2. Someone major dies in the premiere.

I liked the finale-- it didn't wrap the show up, but gave enough of a sense of satisfaction to carry me over the summer. I got so addicted to the show last year, I was seriously depressed when it went into hiatus over the summer.
I think there were issues with the finale, but I'll be interested to see if they get interpreted in Season 2 or not.
I'm glad they are going to ramp Parkman up a bit. He's a good character-- very gray-- don't know which way he is going to jump. And he was kind of floating in and out of stories last season.

Well they're definitely not going to iTunes - NBC & Apple had a "falling out" there.
For now they're going to be on Amazon's Unbox video download/rental service, though longer-term I think NBC is putting it's own site together for those kinds of offerings?

It wasn't clear in the finale that Nathan had to die-- Nathan could have just let Peter drop once he got him high enough.
And I had wondered if Peter could survive the drop, given that he had all of Claire's powers.

We were wondering about that at the office today, but nothing definite came of the discussion. It is clearly linked with her brother though, since apparently she only does this when he isn't around...
