Here it is after nearly 5 weeks of work. I unveil:
Henkel's Columbus Geo-Spatial Identity Map ©
This cloropleth map identifies my own personal view of what places are called in Greater Columbus. Nothing is official. Geo-spatial identity is an area's unique identity. The boundaries and names of each area come from a variey of sources: It is a mix of municipality boundaries and names, official "districts" un-offical districts, places identified only by thier residents, hearsay, archaic names, traditional names, marketed names, and my own personal vision of what each place is called. As you can see, areas become more diverse and smaller as they near my own knowledge of the world. Areas become larger as I know less about them and thier qualities. I believe there to be 150 unique geo-spatial identities exhibited in this map. Enjoy. Tell me what you think. I am open to suggestions and edits.
It is kind of big and may take a minute to load on slower PC's. Scroll in and click around. The second edition will show each districts' capitol.
