Help me catch a group of theives

A young man and his friend broke into my Merion Village home on Tuesday November 24th at 6:15pm and again on Wednesday November 25th at 4:45pm with a total of five THEIVES. We have very good video footage of each night and of each THEIF. If you have any information about these incidences, or would like to see the additional footage to help us identify and prosecute these individuals. Grrrr.....this kind of stuff makes me furious. Why do people think that they can help themselves to the property of others?

We will upload to You Tube as soon as we can. Punks took my laptop and I posted from my office earlier, the hubby still has his laptop and he will get the video uploaded. I also have a couple of friends who are working on cleaning up the images we have.

We are pretty sure we know where they live, we hung fliers on the telephone poles in the area and they are taking them down.

Good luck. They look like juveniles to me. I hope your detective doesn't tell you it's a "waste of his time," because juveniles are too hart to prosecute.

This makes me angry to no end. I hope these scum are caught. That looks like a childs bedroom. I'm glad your family wasn't home at the time.

It is impressive that you are able to produce these images. You have video as well? How is all this set up. I'm curious.

They are juveniles, so far they have caught one, he was 14. I met my detective Weds. he was very nice asked us to bring all of our video footage to him on Sunday when he is back on shift. Our neighbors were great in the 2nd break in, surrounded the house and then chased the 5 unitl they spilt apart.

CPD was great the 2nd night they were on scene within 5 minutes of my security system going off and my neighbors 911 calls. And my evidence tech lifted several good prints both nights.

I hate to sound like a dick, but I lived in MV for a long time and never knew of any break ins, let alone 2 in 2 nights on the same house...did you have an enemy or some sort of crazy expensive gear around or something to make you that kind of a target?

There have been several break ins the past month. One was in the night while a family slept upstairs. PM me and I will give you the areas.

The only thing we can figure is that the saw our 37" flat screen TV in the living room, which can be visible from the sidewalk if my dogs are barking in the window and move the curtains.

1st night they came in a 2nd story bedroom window that probablly was unlocked, accessed by climbing onto our back porch roof.

2nd night they came in a ground level window that they managed to force open and break the locks.

They are lucky that no one has shot them. I pity them if they break into my house if I'm at home.

I have an older (P4 2.4gz) computer with a camera capture card and multiple middle of the road IR camera's with 1/3" or 1/4" sony CCD imagers.
The main reason I even got them was that I wanted a baby monitor with video, for about the same cost I got the capture card and 2 camera's. Accessible via local, web, cell phone, or pda interfaces. I'd love to have better cameras and a higher quality capture card but this one works pretty good. All of my camera's have at least 24 IR LED's, most are Q-See brand from http://www.q-see.com or http://www.tigerdirect.com. We also have a few IP camera's here and there.

The way I see it, the mail ran and the dogs barked at the mailman, school let out and a single kid walked by really looking at the house. An hour later it was 2 kids. A few hours after that a car parked in front of our house someone got out was gone for about 3 minutes and got back in. (Strange that the direction the person walked had NO cars parked on the street so why didn't they park closer?) An hour after that Kerry left the house and within 3 minutes 2 kids were ringing the doorbell. They came back the second night for our 8+ year old TV. I didn't think the wall mount was worth the money I paid for it but I sure do now.
