The Sleeper is an 80's slasher film. It follows one new pledge, Amy, as she learns the in's and out's of Alpha Gamma Theta. Little do her and the other sisters know, a stalker is watching them. As the girls shower, study, eat and sleep he lurks in the shadows studying them. One by one he finds the girls when they are at their most vulnerable, asleep, and kills them brutally. As each remaining girl gets a threatening phone call, they must fight to stay alive...alone.
I have made movies independently for years and have a real knack for stretching budget. I plan on shooting the film in February in 12 -14 days with minimal crew. Most of the money will be going towards Effects, Camera and Lighting and Wardrobe. Most importantly I would like to pay my cast and crew and feed them well during the shoot. I love the spirit of independent art and enjoy making film with little to no money. I also want the film to look it's best and be as authentic as possible. For that to happen I need a very little bit of money.
This will be my 3rd feature film done at an extremely low budget. My first film was made in college for $500 and was a great learning experience.
My 2nd feature film entitled, "Death Stop Holocaust" gained distribution from Shriek Show and will be released in 2011. It was praised at the Chicago and Eerie horror film festivals, gaining nominations for "Best Feature, Best Effects, & Best Actress" It was made for $13,000.
