My mother was a seamstress, and our house has loads of fabrics she bought in the 1960s - 1990s which she is not going to use. We also have a large amount of yarn. She has no plans for this stuff.
I'm fishing around for someone interested in this stuff, like some kind of local sewing or quilting or knitting groups. Anyone out there?

Maybe a group that makes quilts/blankets for the homeless or women's shelters would be interested in the fabric. Who knew the headquarters of the National Quilting Association was in Columbus? Maybe they can connect you with one of these charities, or failing that a quilting circle that would be interested.

If the yarn is acrylic or other craft store type yarn, look for a charity that knits blankets and afghans for the homeless. Knitters' Mercantile in Graceland Shopping Center also accepts donations of this type of yarn for their afghan charity.
If it's natural fiber yarn, like wool or cotton, PM me, and I'll take a look. :)
