So, there is this relatively new spot called Blue Ginger on Sawmill Road in Dublin. They describe themselves as an "Asian Fusion Bistro". I picked up a take out menu, and it looks good ... particularly the lunch specials.
I was just wondering if anyone had actually eaten the food. I usually try to get a review of a place before I go there and order raw fish. Any info would be appreciated.

I have. They make great veggie sushi. I wrote about it on my blog if you don't mind reading about what hippie vegetarians eat.
If you want to read about their non-veggie eats, ThisWeek covered Blue Ginger in October, and the Dispatch wrote them up a little later.

I like Nida's an awful lot...would be hard to dethrone that for me. Buuuuuut, I do recall seeing mackerel sashimi on the menu and I'd give it a whirl just for that. Blammo got me hooked on it, and it seems lots of places don't have it.

Thanks for the link Walker. Sometimes it's very hard to search throught the entire back log of topics to find what you are looking for; it's often easier to just start a new one.
Is there a "keyword search" function that could be used within a forum or something like that to sift through and find specific topics?

I found that one just by searching for "blue ginger" (with quotes) in the search box at the top.
The search engine is driven by google and typically does a pretty good job of finding things, especially if your search term is very specific.

I'm always looking for a good Pad Thai. The best I ever had was at Jasmine Restaurant, closed a long time ago. I was pleased to find that the owner of the present Thai Lagoon, was the former owner of Jasmine. So the proper blend of peanuts and fish sauce and heat that I've been craving for years, can be found once again at the T.L.

I've been to Blue Ginger twice for sushi and was very impressed. Great quality at a decent price point.
