I live in harrison west. Harrison West Society used to be very active. Now their website has not been updated in over a year and we no longer receive monthly bulletins. Anyone know why? It would be great to know what is going on in our neighborhood! Thanks!

I believe they joined the Short North Civic Association. I know the Victorian Village society merged with them a while back.

The Harrison West Society is still very active. Our monthly neighborhood meeting is at 7:00pm on the third Wednesday of the month, at the Harrison Park Community Center, at Harrison Park and First Ave. It is true that our website has languished and we no longer send out a monthly newsletter. We had members who previously headed those area, that are no longer active. We have a new group that is working to resurrect communications, including a new website, Facebook page, etc. If you are interested in participating, I encourage you to attend our next meeting.

I'm on the HWS "Communications Committee". We're working on a brand-spanking new website. With that will come a new e-newsletter eventually. And join the facebook page too!

Thanks. It has been years since I have heard anything; wasn't sure of the goings on in the neighborhood!

Meeting tonight at 7pm. We are reviewing the final plans for "Harrison Park", and voting on them. We are in the last days of the permit process, and all the major department heads have signed off, and complete funding has been confirmed. Maureen Lorenz with Recreation & Parks and the Developer will be present to answer any questions. Also we are voting for officers tonight.
