Just want to say that I am celebrating today by deleting the photos and getting rid of the last remnants of stuff and things and crap that reminds me of my last long term relationship that went thermal nuclear last year!
Just one question, he gave me a a necklace that I don't know what to do with, I don't want to just toss it in the good will bin. It's a silver mayan figure, a reproduction of a ceramic statue of a woman on a black cord that he got at Byzantium. What should I do with it? I have something in mind but maybe ya'll can come up with something better. I don't want to destroy it, it's not the jewelry's fault my ex is a lying coward :D

i spent too long(edit) with the last GF.
ended very poorly.
I don't have one remnant of anything that she either gave me, contributed to the household, picture, anything...
most was discarded, stuff that could have been used goodwill got, but the stuff that was of better quality I let my friends take, or I gifted to them in a white elephant kind of way.
but yeah, you don't need that crap, but someone you know might really like it.
oh, and some stuff got listed on craigslist and sold, I tried to recoup some of my financial losses on that relationship 8)

I think VD is kind of like a consolation to people who are infected with a disease.

My question is why if the dead relationship has been over since last year then why do you still hold resentment. It almost sounds like you don't want to let go!!

;) why do you care if I hold resentment?
I am cleaning house, :) the only things I had left was a cd of his music, a couple photos, and that. The relationship meant a lot to me and so I held on to them in case I ever wanted to look at them.
But I'm not that sentimental on things that are over with, so this is the last part of moving on, getting rid of the rest of his stuff. Maybe guys don't work that way... hell I know more than a few girls who keep all their ex's stuff. I however am not one of those people. Past is past!
So who wants to meet me at Byrne's this Saturday and drink and listen to traditional Irish music and celebrate single-ness?!

My ex-husband just sent me out to buy whatever I felt like having so there was never any sentiment or thought behind anything he gave me, so I kept most things except my wedding rings. If it does not stir up shit, keep it, if it stirs up shit, put it in a safety deposit box or give it to a friend if if you think you might detach later on and just want it back because it was cool......personal pref.
