Happy Easter Everyone!

Since I didn't see an existing thread for this, I just wanted to throw a Happy Easter out to all the CU community! On this most important Christian holiday it's a great chance to re-commit yourself to what is most important in your life, and to spend quality time with family. As we remember Christ's sacrifice and resurrection today, I hope that everyone has safe travels and good fellowship with those closest to them.

How is everyone spending their Easter? My family is further out of town than normal this year, so I will be with the girlfriend and her family for church and dinner. I'm curious and interested to hear the different plans everybody else has. Happy Easter!

Had some drinks last night with a close friend who is leaving for the peace corps in another month. Took her to Surly Girl, which she loved.

Spending the day with family.

ETA

Don't forget our Jewish friends and the Passover holiday at this time. Pretty awesome that we have the first ever Whitehouse Passover seder.

Went to church, had a nice brunch at Due Amici. Our family is out of town, so we get to spend the afternoon alone, which we prefer.

An excellent point. It's a big week/weekend for the entire Judeo-Christian community of believers. I was unaware that the White House had a Passover seder...any linkage? I'd love to read about it if there's an article or something. Sounds very interesting.

I don't know. From the blip on the news this is the first ever hosted by the WH/POTUS. Even if some would consider it a token gesture, after 8 years of the majority party posturing to the religious right it is very nice to see some amount of inclusion in this administration.

Apparently they also actively sought out parents and families in the GLBT community to be a part of the WH easter egg thing.
