Anyone going tonight?
I was going to, but something came up. Seeing it tomorrow night.
Great reviews so far. I think it is my favorite of the books also.

If I don't see it at midnight I'll catch the first showing in the morning tomorrow. Ah, the advantages of a being laid off for two months and told it's Summer Break.
My roommate just tried to buy tickets to see Harry Potter at Arena Grand tonight and they are raising the ticket price by $4 to see the movie, taking it up to $13. Fuck that, we're seeing it at Easton for the regular ticket price.
Saw it at lennox last night at midnight closest parking spot I could fine was in front of old navy.
Traffic was crazy on the way out.
I liked it! Can't wait for the next one.
I saw it at Easton at midnight. It was showing on every screen and i heard someone say they were all sold out...don't know if it was true or not, but seemed that way.
anyways, i liked it alot. Definitely some stuff missing, but still one of the best ones
Caught it at noon and it was still relatively crowded for a midweek matinee. Considering the length of the book I didn't mind things being cut out. The edits from the book were much less obvious than in past movies. Special props to Tom Felton for giving Draco Malfoy a tremendous amount of depth and conflict despite his silly wardrobe (come on, a 16-year old wearing a black suit all school year?).

Is that legal? Isn't there a term for that ...

Supply and demand?
I saw it, and enjoyed it.
However, the general tone is so much lighter than the book, and that kind of bugged me.

Agree. I mean, there were things that I'd like to have seen added, and a few scenes where I wish they were a little more faithful to what happened in the book, but it ran 2.5 hours. That minimizes my room to say "man, I wish they'd have left ________ in."
I liked it overall but they really skimmed over the whole Half Blood Prince part of the story.

Agreed, it was almost an afterthought. I wish they would of left out or cut the added attack on the burrow scene and fleshed out that scene a bit more. If I remember correctly Snape says quite a bit more in the book.
Overall I really enjoyed it though. Broadbent was great as Slughorn, and the teenage romance stuff was pretty funny. Luna was hilarious/endearing, and the scene in the cave was very creepy. I feel like this was a hard screenplay to write because there is almost no action in the book at all (hence the added action scene in the middle).

Yeah, I remember more of a rant from Snape in that last scene in the book. They were light on the horcruxes too. I seem to remember them figuring out what 6 of the 7 horcruxes were in this book. Seems kind of crucial to the final set of movies.

I don't think they found any more horcruxes....I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure all but the Ring and the diary are revealed in the last book.

Not that they found any more but that there was a discussion between Dumbledore and Harry about what the other 5 might be. I thought that the big mystery between the two books coming out was what the 7th horcrux could be. I could be wrong though, its been a while since I've read them.

I know they do discuss what they could be....mainly about how Hogwarts was an important place for Voldemort and they could be related to Hogwarts in some way.
They discussed at least some of them because they saw them in other memories Dumbledore had collected. Those memories were excised from the movie, so so were the glimpses of the other Horcruxes, since without those memories as plot devices, there would be no way to know what the others look like, unless Voldemort posted pictures of them on his MySpace page.
