Hilltop residents and businesses owners gathered Tuesday to discuss ways to boost business in their neighborhood.
The group does not yet have a name, but said it has a purpose."There are all of these neighbors who are fighting frankly for some place to spend their dollars in the neighborhood, for something to do," said group organizer Josh Quinn. "They are really great neighborhoods with active associations."

Thanks for being there last night, Andrew.

Thanks for organizing it. It was great to meet some new people and really see behind the scenes of what's going on out there.

A community market would be great as would a gateway treatment for westbound traffic entering the neighborhood on Broad. The sooner the charette is implemented the better.

This is great to hear :D I am so very excited and I hope more people start joining in!
If I ever click the topix message section again I will kick my own ass. How gross people can be.Posted 2 years ago # -
We are hoping the market is not only a self contained market but will serve as an incubator to help people move from small kiosk spaces to full store fronts of their own. Behind the scenes will be a group of advisors to help the businesses move from their living-room to the market to their own address. This could be a great tool to populate our commercial vacancies.

Depressing for those people I suppose who would want to live life on such a negative note icky! I mean goodness you could smack some of those people with a banana and some of those fuckers would still say it was an apple. lol
I think this is a wonderful thing change is possible after all. :D yay

If I ever click the topix message section again I will kick my own ass. How gross people can be.Ignorance abounds on Topix. I've learned it is best to just not even bother reading anything there when the west side is involved.

So are there any sites that come to mind for the market space?

I was wondering that myself. A W Broad Street presence would be nice.

uh. we are getting ready to buy 937 West Broad Street and are just now beginning to recruit tenants. Located next to the Florentine and across from Tommy's, it has two 1,000 or so square foot retail slots which can be combined. And another 2,000 square feet of office space above. we're looking for ideas...anybody want to start a business?

Just no where close to being ready to commit to space and actually launch something.

When people band together to make necessary changes, it does happen. Take it from me, it's a SLOW process but when you have the idea, have the patience to see it through... it CAN & does happen.
There are a lot of people West of High street on W. Broad that are tired of seeing the neighborhood dumped on. We are coming together (sometimes slowly) to turn the tide & keep things moving in the right direction.Posted 2 years ago #
